Real estate is my principal business area. I am a California licensed broker (BRE 01455180), a member of the National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, and Ventura County Coastal Association of Realtors. I also have a law degree.
My experience and business background is diverse. My first career after graduating in International Studies from Brigham Young University was with the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Spanish “Linguist”. For about 8 years, I worked full time for the FBI doing translation of live, recorded and written content. During that time, I purchased my first commercial real estate investment, a home and several residential investment properties. Since that time (around 2001), I have had a personal stake in at least 100 real estate and business property transactions.
In 2004, I first became an agent with a small Coldwell Banker franchise in Thousand Oaks, trained by a local and infamous sales “shark”. I soon realized his style was not my style, so I moved to a more business minded and professional environment at RE/Max Gold Coast Realtors. That was about 2 years after I deferred attendance to Southwestern University School of Law, due to family health issues. During those years, I had a great start in real estate, as I grew with the real estate bubble until it popped. During the following years, I continued working and expanding my business despite the recession and real estate market crash. In 2008, I divorced. In the spirit of making lemonade out of lemons, I worked a little harder and obtained my broker license, hired agents and grew the business more.
I enjoy all aspects of the real estate business. My focus and strength is in residential sales, from start to finish, all aspects, for buyers, sellers and investors.
In this fast paced real estate market, having access to your agent is key to successful transactions. You’ll see that I am accessible and ready to work.
